A subscription service with accounts, a free account and paid monthly plans, plus features such as Ask Gaffer and the Lab. Each paid feature, and its price, will be described before any payment is taken.

You must be 18 or over and give accurate details. Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens on your account. One account per person.

Credits will pay for actions that cost us to run, such as Lab generations and Gaffer conversations. Credits have no cash value, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and are never a stake or a wager. Their prices and terms will be published before any are sold.

Credits and top-ups are not refundable, except a charge we made in error or where the law requires a refund (see the refund policy). Credits returned when a Lab slip you marked as played loses are a Credit return, not a refund.

Paid plans will be monthly, priced in naira, VAT-inclusive and billed through Paystack. Auto-renewal will be opt-in, and we will send you a reminder before each renewal. You can cancel at any time; see the refund and cancellation policy.

Places. There are 1,000 founding places in total: 500 waitlist places and 500 launch places. The total is always 1,000.

• Waitlist places go to the first 500 people to join the founding waitlist (18 or over, one per person), in the order their sign-ups were received, after removing duplicates and addresses whose owners asked us to delete them. At launch we email each of them an invite. A paid subscription started within 30 days of the invite claims the place; subscribing before the invite arrives also claims it.
• People who join after the first 500 stay on the waitlist and are invited too, with a head start on one of the launch places.
• Launch places go to paying subscribers without a waitlist place, in the order of their first paid subscription, while places remain.
• Waitlist places not claimed in time go to the earliest-paying subscriber without a place: first come, first served by the date of their first paid subscription. A place released later passes as set out under "When it ends".

What counts. Founding status starts with the first paid subscription that claims a place: a successful payment for a paid plan. Free trials and the free account never count. A first payment that is refunded (including the 7-day cooling-off refund) or charged back does not count, and any place it earned is released.

Matching. A waitlist place belongs to the email address that joined, matched to the account opened with the same address (letter case is ignored).

One place per person. Founding places are personal: they are not transferable, cannot be sold or exchanged, and have no cash value. Sign-ups by one person under more than one address, including aliases such as +tags or Gmail dots, hold one place; claiming a place requires a verified phone number.

Benefits. While you hold founding status, which means while you have an active paid subscription, on any paid plan:

• 30% off, every time. 30% off your plan's price at every payment, for as long as you stay subscribed.
• Double Credits. Your plan's monthly Credit allowance is doubled, on any paid plan.
• More from every top-up. Every Credit top-up comes with 20% extra.
• A bigger say. A founding badge, and your vote counts twice when members vote on new features and improvements.
• First look at new features. New features reach you at least 72 hours before everyone else, and you help shape them while they're built. (Fixes and security updates go to everyone at once.)
• Priority support. A first reply from a person within 12 hours of your message, every day, on any paid plan — plus a founding-members WhatsApp community with our team.

The discount applies at every subscription payment for as long as Bet Gaffer offers subscriptions. It does not combine with other percentage discounts: if one applies, you get whichever saves you more.

Double Credits means double the plan's monthly Credit allowance, every month, and the most your Credit balance can hold is doubled too, so the extra is never cut off. Top-ups get their own extra Credits, not double.

Votes count twice in polls on features and improvements that are open to members. Fixes, security updates and changes the law requires go to everyone at once. Founding members also help build new features, by testing them and giving feedback.

Priority support covers messages to our contact address and our in-app support channel.

No downgrades. We will not reduce your founding benefits while you hold the status. If plans, Credits or support channels change, founding members get an equal or better replacement, with 30 days' notice.

Keeping it. Turning off auto-renewal is not a lapse while your paid period runs. If your last paid period ends without renewal (a cancelled renewal, a failed payment that is not recovered, or a move to the free account), you have 90 days' grace from the end of that period. Subscribe to any paid plan in those 90 days and everything is restored. During grace your benefits pause, your badge stays visible, and votes and early access resume when you come back.

When it ends. After 90 days without a paid subscription, founding status ends for good. It also ends if you close your account, or if we close it for a breach of these terms or fraud. Either way, the place passes to the next member in line: the paying member without a place ranked highest by how early they first paid, how consistently they have subscribed and how much they have spent. Until that ranking is published, it goes to the earliest-paying subscriber without a place.

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account for a breach of these terms, fraud or abuse, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents us.

If we offer booking codes, a code will only copy a selection onto a bookmaker's slip. Any bet is placed by you, with that bookmaker, under its terms. We are not a party to it, and we are not paid for it.
